Dena and Melissa start the show discussing Melissa’s newfound spirituality, which leads them to Manifest and Tarot TikTok. They discuss videos from @pheydrus and @annababycares. Then, they explain the latest song trends including “Be humble”

created by @jordanaudiozz. People use the lyrics “So sick and tired of the photoshop” to show themselves with edited photos or makeup then reveal their natural image. Chloe George (@clobuggwannahug) covers Kanye West’s “Ghost Town” and people create videos transitioning from dull scenes to vibrant ones. We also talk about Lil Nas X (@lilnasx) and Lil Yachty (@lilyachty) responding to videos of themselves on TikTok. We discuss some new stitch questions, citing a videos from @juwonlo_. Melissa talks about an account from a North Korean defector (@evelynjeong614) that she’s following. It’s officially been a year since the pandemic shut down the world and TikTok usage skyrocketed. We look back on some of the popular song trends over the year and how they reflected the culture at the time. Covering songs and audio snippets like: Bored in the House by Curtis Roach, Iko Iko by Justin Wellington, pew pew pew it's a chopper, Doja Cat’s Say So, it’s corona time, the pandemic isn’t over just because you're over it by Heather Chelan, Blinding Lights by The Weeknd, Something New by Wiz Khalifa, Boss Bitch by Doja Cat, girl don’t do it it's not worth it, hey….hey...how y'all doing, don't be suspicious from Parks & Recreation, and Savage by Megan Thee Stallion.

Food consultant Sam Jinishian joins us to explain the origins of these food trends and give her opinion.  Food TikTok trends include:

Baked feta pasta: This was started by Jenni Häyrinen (@liemessa) using the tag #uunifetapasta. @cookingwithayeh has the most viewed version on TikTok, but lots of other TikTokers are doing variations like @scheckeats.

Jeni’s everything bagel ice cream: many put it on a bagel or doughnut to get the full effect of an everything bagel like @sugar_pusher and @itskatesteinberg.

Tortilla quadrants: Jacqueline Devine (@justbeingdevine) voices over a crazy video using a duet to explain what is happening. Joanne L. Molinaro (@thekoreanvegan) is a Korean vegan chef and lawyer creating breathtaking videos on TikTok.

Nacho tables: You can see all the videos on the #nachotable TikTok page. It’s actually become quite controversial and @itsmetinx hates them (so do we).

Saag Paneer Spice Girls is a video we love from @YorkshireIndian where he creates a delicious looking Indian dish while singing his own rendition of the Spice Girls’ “Wannabe.”

Michael Judson Berry (@mjudsonberry) joins 2Old4TikTok this week! Dena and Melissa start the show talking about this video they saw where a girl participates in Baylor University’s Dunk for Tuition Challenge (#BaylorDunkForTuition) and the comments were just ruthless.
